Text: Gen 1:3

Utterances are spoken words, statements & vocalization of our thoughts

Gen 1:3 – Spoken words create things around us. We are created in God’s image & He created all that exists by His words

You need to be aware that your world is created by the words that you speak

Eph 4:29 – What kind of words do you speak? It is the things that you say that defile you

We need to be conscious of the things we say to people around us – our spouses, children, siblings, friends

The things that you feed your mind with are the things that you will speak

We need to be able to hear from God & thus speak the things you hear from Him. This is how we speak the mind of God

We need to cultivate the habit of speaking blessings & positive words over our children

The empowered woman needs to ensure that her actions align with her utterances, by so doing she guards against being a liar

Prayer: We release the people of God from the spirit of fear, loss & death now in Jesus’ name

Topic: The Making of an Empowered Woman

Text: Gen. 1:26-28 – Here we can see God’s blessing & empowerment of man.

It was His original intent for mankind

The primary expression of God’s work here is that we are made in His image

After creating man, God expected him to multiply (reproduce) & rule (have dominion)

Empowerment – endowment & impartation of mental, spiritual & other necessary attributes for man to fulfill his God given assignment

God has set two forms of empowerment in place:

1.  Empowerment for physical assignments – this is received by bestowal
2.  Empowerment for spiritual assignments (taking up the image & likeness of God) – received by impartation & learning

As empowered women, our primary area of assignment is to help our husbands.
The reason this might sound belittling is because we don’t have the mentality of the Kingdom yet.

As empowered women, we have to help our men to build their lives and set everything in order

As empowered women, the destiny of our husbands & children is in our hands

Our role as women is to be the primary role model for our children

It is in the area of your assignment that you are going to be rewarded

As a woman, you will be rewarded in your keeping of your home and family

What is God’s image? 1 Cor. 15:49, Colossians 1:15, 2:9 – Jesus Christ is the image of God

God is restoring man to the place that was originally intended for him, through adoption & being conformed to the image of Christ
True empowerment is becoming like Jesus Christ

Jesus is the template of how our lives are meant to be

Eph 4:19 – All the teachings & sermons we hear are to bring us to becoming like Jesus

The Bible doesn’t give us steps to solving problems, it gives us principles
The charge of the LORD is that we grow into the image & likeness of Jesus. But realize that this takes work

Prayer: LORD we make ourselves available to Your Spirit to work on us today, give us the desire to become like You
